Camelot is a show on the Starz network. It is a show based in ancient Britan. King Uther has just died and chaos has surrounded all of the United Kingdom. There is a sorcerer, Merlin, who realizes that a dark force is working its way into the world and someone needs to lead from the front. He decides that young Arthur, an impetuous but ambitious man, is the one who has the power to help everyone. He is the illegitimate child of King Uther and the only heir to the throne. He has been raised as commoner, by a brick weilding laborer and has never known any royalty or anything of importance. However, he is now thrust into the limelight and must find a way to lead. However, there are those who stand in his way.

His half sister Morgan does not want to give up the throne, and she will do everything she can to ensure that Arthur is not king. The two of them must fight each other and Arthur must also fight the evil forces at work in the kingdom. A man who never knew anything but a simple life now has to make life and death decisions on a daily basis.

Jersey Shore: Unfortunately, MTV has a soaring hit with Shore and your kids are probably watching it. There’s a lot of alcohol and sexuality although the characters themselves can teach valuable lessons about human dynamics and what it’s like to have roommates.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager: Also on ABC Family, this show started with the basic premise of a pregnant teen. It’s now 4 seasons in and there’s been a lot of changes but think of it as today’s Seventh Heaven if you need a point of reference.

HBO’s Entourage was described at its arrival in 2004 as a male version of “Sex and the City”. In some ways, that’s a valid, albeit simplistic description of the show. However, if that were all Entourage had to offer it wouldn’t be one of the most critically acclaimed shows on television.

Entourage at its heart follows four guys living in Hollywood after one of the four pals, Vince (Adrian Grenier), strikes it big as an ‘A’ list film star. His three very best friends and manager Ari (Jeremy Piven) ride the coat tails of Vince’s success as he grows from a working actor, to worldwide phenomenon with some bumps along the way.

What truly sets Entourage apart is the dialogue. The four friends have great chemistry on camera and it’s easy to laugh along with them as they try to find their own ways and no longer mooch off Vince. Jeremy Piven, as Vince’s impossibly obscene yet lovable agent steals the spotlight, but the rest of the cast is so excellent you won’t just be watching for Ari. True Blood is one of the most popular television shows currently being aired. It is the story of the relations between humans and vampires in the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. Humans and vampires must interact in every day situations such as working, hanging out, and falling in love. Most of the vampires on this show are humble vampires who do not eat human blood. They have chosen to take a different path and get along with humans. They drink a beverage called True Blood which is synthetic blood made specifically to keep them alive.

Sookie Stackhouse is the main character of the story. She falls in love with Bill Compton who is a generally good vampire. Through Sookie and Bill’s romance viewers get to see different subjects such as prejudice and inter-species relationship issues. Other characters in the show include Sookie’s brother Jason who is a not so smart womanizer in the beginning, Tara the feisty African American girl, her cousin Lafayette who is homosexual, and Eric Northman who is a very sexy suitor of Sookie who happens to be vampire sheriff. Everyone pulls their weight on this show and makes it very enjoyable and exciting to watch.
